Indianapolis Colts 2015 Training Camp Primer

Here's everything you need to get you ready for training camp, as the Colts report on Saturday and take the practice field on Sunday.

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

Training camp is right around the corner!  Though at times this offseason it might have felt like it would never get here, the Indianapolis Colts report to Anderson University for camp on Saturday and will take the practice field for the first time on Sunday.  Here's everything you need to catch you up and get you ready for camp, plus an update on our coverage here at Stampede Blue.

Colts 2015 Previews:

This offseason, we took a look at every single player on the Colts 90-man offseason roster.  You can catch up on those previews in this group (though for some, it might just be easier to search "player name" plus "Stampede Blue" on Google).

In addition to the individual player previews, we previewed every position for the Colts entering 2015.  You can find the links to those previews below:

14. Greg Toler, CB

13.  Frank Gore, RB

Stampede Blue coverage update:

Training camp essentially marks the beginning of another season of coverage here at Stampede Blue, and we can't wait for the 2015 season.  It's one filled with plenty of excitement for the Colts on the field, and it's also filled with a lot of excitement for us here at Stampede Blue.

We routinely hear from you that our training camp coverage is your favorite time of year to follow the site, and we're hoping to continue that success this year.  For the third straight year, Josh Wilson will be live in Anderson for camp, reporting on anything and everything that is going on there.  Follow him on twitter at coltsfanwilson and at StampedeBlue for live updates from the practice field.  We'll be continuing our popular daily notes series, along with a number of other articles covering the going-ons at camp.

In addition to that, however, training camp seems like as good of a time as ever to bring back a few features here at Stampede Blue.  Two of the most common things that you said you'd like us to add were a podcast and the popular "Luke Links" series, so we're bringing both of those back.  You can find our podcast at Blog Talk Radio titled "Stampede Blue Radio," and we'll be experimenting with what works best in these podcasts, but our goal is to do them weekly throughout the season.  As for the Luke Links, these are articles that basically give you a glimpse of other coverage around the internet.  I'm not entirely sure how often these articles will be out, but ideally a few times a week throughout the season.  Lastly, we'll be bringing back the weekly tweetbag for this season in which we take questions from you about the Colts and answer them.

We will also be making a big social media push this year (especially during training camp), so be sure to follow us on our social media outlets to get the best and most complete coverage.  We're on twitter, we're on Facebook, and we're now on Instagram.  Seriously, you need to follow us there - especially during training camp.  It takes just a few seconds, but it could help keep you more informed and up to date on both the Indianapolis Colts and our coverage here at Stampede Blue.

So go ahead.  Follow us on social media now and thank us later.

Colts City:

The Colts have a fan zone at camp called Colts City, which is filled with inflatables, activities, the Colts Pro Shop, and more for fans to enjoy.  It will be open from 12:30 - 5:00 p.m. ET every day that the Colts have a practice scheduled - except for August 5, when the Colts have their night practice.  On that night, Colts City will be open from 5:00 - 9:30 p.m. ET.

How much does it cost?

Admission to Colts training camp is free, though there is a small $5 fee for parking.  And of course, there are concessions and souvenirs for sale, but admission is free.

What day should I go to camp?

Any day is a great day for Colts training camp, as no matter what it will be an enjoyable time of watching the Colts practice.  But I would caution you to check the weather before leaving, and then if in question check this site and our social media accounts (again, follow us there) for confirmation.  If you are wondering about what day to go, I would recommend the August 5 night practice.  The night practice always seems to draw the biggest crowd and have the best atmosphere, and this is usually held in the stadium rather than the practice field.  If you have a few dates that you're wondering about, my recommendation would be to go to the night practice.

If you have any other questions about Colts training camp, drop them in the comments and we'll do our best to answer them.
