Note the picture on this article, because if it weren't for that photo of the Indianapolis Colts preparing to take the field, you might not even know that the team showed up tonight. Because on the field, they looked terrible.
Offensively, the Colts have been absolutely flat. Four first downs. 107 total yards. 52 yards passing. Two turnovers. The run game has actually been the only positive from the offensive side of the football. The team has committed seven penalties for 51 yards. And while the run defense has been fantastic, they've allowed 158 yards through the air - and it could have been a lot more, too, if not for Ryan Fitzpatrick. It has been just a flat out awful performance that even included a missed 29-yard field goal by Adam Vinatieri - the first time he's missed from inside of 30 yards since 2007. Nothing is going right for the Colts tonight.
The good news is that the defense, despite their top four corners (Vontae Davis is in the locker room undergoing what we assume is a concussion test), actually did as well as you could possibly have expected, and it's only 10-0 at the half. That's absolutely manageable to come back from, but that is assuming the offense gets it going. Hopefully that will happen, but the reality is that the first six quarters of the season for the Colts have been awful.
Here's your open thread for the second half, and hopefully it's a better half than the one we just watched.
