The Indianapolis Colts made several roster moves today at the 4:00 p.m. deadline to get their roster down to 53 players - the number that the roster will remain at until after the season is over. The moves included a number of surprises, such as the release of Josh Chapman, Duron Carter, and Montori Hughes.
You can see the entire list here, but right now let's take a look at the players who made the roster. Of course, we must also first note that this is not the final 53-man roster. There are players who make the team today who will be cut tomorrow in favor of a player who another team released. I always felt bad for those players the most, as they get excited about making the team only to be cut shortly thereafter, but that's the way it works in the NFL with roster cutdowns. But with the knowledge in mind that the Colts will surely be adding help (probably for sure along the defensive line especially), let's take a look at the first 53-man roster for the team.
