In a total domination, the Carolina Panthers have advanced to Super Bowl 50 to face the Denver Broncos.  The Panthers defeated the Arizona Cardinals 49-15 on Sunday evening in the NFC Championship game to advance to the biggest game of them all.

It was a great all-around performance by Carolina.  Cam Newton was terrific, completing 19 of 28 passes for 335 yards and two scores (with an interception) and also added 47 yards and two touchdowns rushing.  Jonathan Stewart rushed for 83 yards.  Greg Olsen and Corey Brown each recorded 113 yards receiving.  The Panthers defense held one of the best offenses in football to just 15 points, 287 yards, and seven turnovers as Carson Palmer struggled mightily (he had six of the team's turnovers).

The Panthers have been in control of the NFC all season, as they earned the top seed and were 15-1 in the regular season.  In the playoffs, they have dominated both games, aside for a Seattle Seahawks second half comeback attempt in the second half of the divisional round.  The Panthers made sure that they didn't let up in the NFC Championship game, however, even going for a two point conversion with just a few minutes left in a blowout.

It was a great season for the Cardinals, but their offense and Carson Palmer really, really struggled in the postseason and we saw that catch up to them tonight.  It was a great year for Arizona, but the great year had by the Panthers is still going on as they'll head to Super Bowl 50 to face the Denver Broncos.
