The Indianapolis Colts haven’t really had great injury situations so far this year, and that was certainly true last week as they knew all seven gameday inactives on the Friday before the game because of injuries.
This week, however, things are getting better. Though it’s still not certain who will play and who won’t this week, but at the very least the Colts got several guys back in a limited capacity today, while only four players sat out for injury reasons.
Here’s a look at today’s full injury report as the Colts prepare for their game this Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs:
Did Not Practice:
Dwayne Allen, TE (ankle)
Kendall Langford, DE (knee)
Curt Maggitt, OLB (ankle)
Chester Rogers, WR (hamstring and foot)
Mike Adams, S (rest)
Vontae Davis, CB (rest)
Frank Gore, RB (rest)
Robert Mathis, OLB (rest)
Limited Practice:
Henry Anderson, DT (knee)
Phillip Dorsett, WR (hamstring)
Zach Kerr, NT (ankle)
Jack Mewhort, G (tricep)
Donte Moncrief, WR (shoulder)
Joe Reitz, T (back)
Of the players who missed practice today, four of them were simply getting rest days. Of the four injured guys who didn’t practice, both Dwayne Allen and Curt Maggitt are week-to-week, so it’s unlikely that they will play this Sunday. We don’t know the severity of the injuries to Kendall Langford and Chester Rogers, so we’ll have to wait and see whether they practice tomorrow, which should give us a better idea of their potential status for the game.
The Colts did get a handful of guys back today, as already mentioned and as expected, as five guys who missed last week’s game were back on the field today in limited roles: Henry Anderson, Phillip Dorsett, Zach Kerr, Jack Mewhort, and Donte Moncrief. That’s good news, though again, it’s uncertain which of those players will truly be ready to go Sunday or not.
