Colts vs. Steelers: Vontae Davis and Donte Moncrief both active

NFL: Kansas City Chiefs at Indianapolis Colts Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

The Indianapolis Colts are getting set to host the Pittsburgh Steelers shortly for a Thanksgiving night battle, and they’ll have to do so without quarterback Andrew Luck and safety Clayton Geathers.

Both of them were ruled out yesterday with concussions and will not play, but the good news for the team is that cornerback Vontae Davis (ankle) and wide receiver Donte Moncrief (hamstring) will both play after being listed as questionable. So that should give the Colts a bit of a boost, as Davis should help against a dangerous Steelers passing offense and Moncrief should help Scott Tolzien in his first start as a Colt.

The only real surprise inactive for Indianapolis tonight is defensive lineman Zach Kerr. I really don’t have an answer for why he won’t play, as he’s been arguably their best defensive lineman this season and has done a good job providing depth and has been a guy who has stepped up and started games as well. So I’m not sure why he’s inactive, but it just means that other linemen are going to need to step up and produce against the Steelers.

Here’s the full list of inactives for the Colts for tonight’s game:

Andrew Luck, QB (concussion)

Clayton Geathers, S (concussion)

Deon King, LB

Le’Raven Clark, OL

Austin Blythe, OL

Curt Maggitt, OLB

Zach Kerr, DL
