The Indianapolis Colts are playing on a short week this week as they will face the Oakland Raiders on Saturday, but things are looking very positive for them when it comes to the injury report. In fact, this might be as healthy as they’ve been all season.
Only one player missed practice today due to injury reasons, and that was outside linebacker Chris Carter. Linebacker Erik Walden received a rest day, but other than those two players everyone else on the team was a full participant in today’s practice. That’s terrific news for a Colts team that hasn’t had a ton of great injury news this year.
Today was the third practice of the week that the Colts held, as they practiced on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week, but they didn’t yet release the game status of the players for this weekend, so we’ll wait and see on that update. But by all indications, the Colts are going to have everybody - or almost everybody - available this Saturday.
Wide receiver Donte Moncrief (hamstring) was a full participant in practice today, and head coach Chuck Pagano said that Moncrief did not have any setbacks this week and is “good to go.” Right guard Denzelle Good (concussion) was also a full participant, and as of earlier today the only step left for him to pass in the concussion protocol was to be cleared by an independent neurologist. Cornerback Rashaan Melvin (knee), lineman Joe Reitz (back), and quarterback Andrew Luck (right shoulder and right thumb) were all back to being full participants today as well.
Here’s today’s full practice report:
