T.Y. Hilton, Denzelle Good will play for Colts tonight vs. Jets

We’re under an hour away from kickoff of Monday night’s game between the Indianapolis Colts and the New York Jets, and the Colts will be without three defensive starters.

They’ll be playing without cornerback Patrick Robinson, safety Clayton Geathers, and outside linebacker Robert Mathis, but those three were already ruled out on Saturday. So it’s no surprise that they won’t be playing tonight, but it’s still significant to point out.

But other than that, the Colts will have their other injured guys in action. The three players who were listed as questionable this week - wide receiver T.Y. Hilton, right guard Denzelle Good, and defensive lineman Hassan Ridgeway - are all active and will all play tonight, so that’s good news for Indianapolis. And then they’ll obviously have quarterback Andrew Luck and cornerback Vontae Davis back tonight too, which is a huge boost.

So the Colts are pretty healthy, outside of the three defensive starters who won’t play. In place of Geathers it will be T.J. Green starting at safety, while Rashaan Melvin will likely start in place of Robinson on the outside at cornerback with Darius Butler in the slot. And then in place of Robert Mathis it will be Trent Cole, who’s making his return to the field for the first time since week three after being activated from IR this week.

There aren’t any surprises with the Colts inactives tonight, but here’s the full list:

Patrick Robinson, CB (groin)

Clayton Geathers, S (neck)

Deon King, LB

Le’Raven Clark, OL

Austin Blythe, OL

Lavar Edwards, LB

Robert Mathis, LB (bicep)
