While the football world has their sights set on free agency today, the premier college football team in the country is holding their pro day today as well. Alabama's pro day is taking place today, displaying their prospective NFL talent, and plenty of NFL people are on hand to watch. Among those in attendance were Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and Colts head coach Chuck Pagano.

Furthermore, the Colts seem to have more than just a passive interest in watching, as a member of the Colts was working out linebacker Reggie Ragland as well.

It's no surprise that Pagano is personally on hand for Alabama's pro day, as this is an important draft for the Colts franchise and for his defense, and there are plenty of intriguing prospects from the Crimson Tide that could interest Indianapolis. As already mentioned, inside linebacker Reggie Ragland is a very talented player who could fit right in with the Colts' defense. Of course, it's far from certain whether he'll even be available when the Colts pick 18th overall, but he's absolutely worth looking into for Indianapolis - especially if they lose Jerrell Freeman in free agency, which would open up on of the inside linebacker spots. It seems that Ragland is a prospect to keep an eye on for the Colts. That's not all from Alabama, however, as players like defensive tackle A'Shawn Robinson, defensive tackle Jarran Reed, and center Ryan Kelly could also be intriguing to the Colts and could draw consideration.
Regardless, it makes perfect sense why Chuck Pagano would personally attend Alabama's pro day, as there are plenty of options for the Colts from the school that could fit in well with his team and particularly with his defense. It appears that they may especially be interested in Ragland, and that would be a very good pick for the Colts. There's still a long way to go before the draft, but Chuck Pagano is getting involved in the scouting process today.
UPDATE: It may not just be Chuck Pagano at the Alabama Pro Day today, as Brent Fatig on twitter appeared to find defensive coordinator Ted Monachino and VP of football operations Jimmy Raye in attendance as well. The attendance of Monachino and Raye has yet to be confirmed, however.
95% sure this is Indy's DC Ted Monachino running the drills here... https://t.co/B1yh42fE1l
