The Indianapolis Colts could stand to upgrade their offensive line, but the best way for them to do that is by addressing the interior of the line.  That's what owner Jim Irsay and head coach Chuck Pagano have emphasized this offseason, and that's likely an area that the Colts will address this offseason.

In SB Nation's most recent mock draft, Adam Stites has the Colts adding help along the interior of their offensive line by drafting Kansas State guard Cody Whitehair.

The problems on the offensive line for the Colts cost the team a promising season -- Andrew Luck couldn't stay healthy and Frank Gore couldn't find running room. With Anthony Castonzo and Jack Mewhort, the Colts have a couple of promising young players, but building from the inside has to be a priority and Whitehair is probably the best interior offensive lineman of the class.

Whitehair made 51 starts at Kansas State, including 41 in a row to close out his collegiate career.  He played left tackle for his last two seasons and the bulk of his playing time was at the position, though he also does have some experience playing guard.  In 2015, he was named first-team All-Big 12 for his play.  Though he played tackle in college, he is widely considered to be the best guard in this year's NFL Draft and should appeal to teams because of his versatility - he could potentially play tackle, guard, or center for an NFL team if asked to.

The Colts' biggest need up front is at center, so this pick wouldn't really help the team in that regard.  Whitehair could step in at right guard, however, and would hopefully solidify the interior of the line (while the Colts still may be able to add a center at some point later in the draft).

What are your thoughts on this pick for the Colts?
