Early over/under for Colts set at 9.5 wins for 2016 season

NFL: Denver Broncos at Indianapolis Colts Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

Last week, Bovada installed the odds for the Indianapolis Colts 2016 season, placing the over/under at 9.5 wins.

Personally, I think that's the perfect place to start the over/under for the Colts, as it seems the most common prediction for the Colts is a 10-6 record. That would obviously be the over, but it's close enough to warrant a 9.5 over/under. There are also plenty of people who would take the under, thinking that the Colts will take the 2016 season as a rebuilding year and that they won't be great after an 8-8 season.

I think the Colts will be better this year than they were last year as long as Andrew Luck remains healthy. If Luck plays every game, the Colts should improve on their .500 record from last year and instead look to make a push to win the division and make the playoffs. That means that winning nine or ten games is something I think is very feasible for the team, even if they are taking a more long-term approach this year.

As for the rest of the NFL, the teams with the highest over-under totals are the Carolina Panthers, Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Seattle Seahawks at 10.5, while the Cleveland Browns have the lowest at 4.5. The Colts are in good company at 9.5, as the Arizona Cardinals, Cincinnati Bengals, Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, and Minnesota Vikings all share the same over/under.

What do you think about the Colts? Do you think they will win over nine games in 2016 or under?
