Since the Colts have an off day today, it’s as good of a time as any to take a look at the Madden 17 ratings for Colts players. EA Sports has been unveiling the rankings for the best players at each positions for the past few weeks, but they recently unveiled the rankings for the entire NFL.
You can find the full rankings on their website, but let’s take a look at the overall rating for top 20 Colts players.
1. Vontae Davis, CB - 91 overall

I don’t think you’ll find much disagreement from fans as to who the top 20 overall Colts players are, according to Madden. Probably the one true point of disagreement would be regarding the rating for Henry Anderson, who is just a 76 overall and tied for the 19th-highest rated Colt. He proved to be one of the best Colts players last year when healthy, so perhaps the fact that he’s only played in nine career games hurts his case. I think if you swapped Henry Anderson and Trent Cole’s places and ratings, however, you’d have a list that is indicative of the team’s best players - or at least pretty close.
One last thing worth taking a look at is how the team’s draft class grades out this year, so here are the overall ratings for each of the Colts’ eight draft picks in this year’s class:
Ryan Kelly, center, first round - 76 overall
T.J. Green, safety, second round - 71 overall
Le’Raven Clark, tackle, third round - 69 overall
Hassan Ridgeway, defensive lineman, fourth round - 68 overall
Antonio Morrison, linebacker, fourth round - 68 overall
Joe Haeg, offensive lineman, fifth round - 69 overall
Trevor Bates, outside linebacker, seventh round - 61 overall
Austin Blythe, center, seventh round - 63 overall
What are your thoughts on the Madden 17 ratings for the Colts? Is there anything in particular you disagree with? And who are you most looking forward to play as in the upcoming game?
