The Indianapolis Colts (1-2) will wrap up their 2016 preseason this Thursday night by taking on the Cincinnati Bengals (1-2) in the fourth game.
This is, of course, something of an annual tradition between the two teams as this will be the 14th-straight season they will play in the preseason finale. It’s a short trip for the visiting team, so it’s a logical finale. For what it’s worth, this will be the 25th overall preseason meeting between the teams and the Bengals hold a 16-8 edge.
This game is usually the least entertaining of all preseason games, as most of the starters are held out and it’s instead a game for the backups. With the final roster cutdown to 53 players looming on Saturday, it’s the last chance the depth players will get to make an impression and try to make the roster. Because of that there’s still plenty to pay attention to, but for the most part people are already beginning to look toward the regular season.
