Several former Colts players will be in attendance at Hall of Fame induction

NFL: Pro Football Hall of Fame-Enshrinement Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

This Saturday will be a special day for the Indianapolis Colts franchise, as two of the most legendary figures in franchise history are being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Former wide receiver Marvin Harrison and head coach Tony Dungy will both be enshrined in Canton, and it will be a reunion of sorts for the Colts players from that magnificent era.

Of course owner Jim Irsay will be there, and in fact he’s introducing Harrison as well. But Irsay is far from the only one who will be in attendance. Peyton Manning appeared on the radio with 1070 the Fan’s JMV today to talk about Harrison and Dungy, and he mentioned how he’s excited to celebrate and reminisce with everyone this weekend. He added that he’s seen the list of former Colts players attending, and went on to list several guys: Jeff Saturday, Ryan Diem, Dallas Clark, Gary Brackett, Dwight Freeney, Brandon Stokely, Reggie Wayne, and Edgerrin James.

It’s unclear whether Freeney will still be in attendance after just signing with the Atlanta Falcons, but either way there will be plenty of former Colts players in Canton on Saturday night to watch their former teammate and head coach inducted into the Hall of Fame, joining the game’s all-time greats. Manning will certainly join them in five years, at which point there will be another huge Colts celebration, but for now he will enjoy celebrating Harrison and Dungy with several former teammates.
