Football is back... kind of.
On Sunday, the Hall of Fame game will officially kick off the 2016 NFL season, and this year’s game will pit the Indianapolis Colts against the Green Bay Packers. It will be an additional preseason to each team’s schedule and will be a week before anyone else gets started, as it is intended to honor the Hall of Fame inductees.
Packers quarterback Brett Favre is the headliner of this year’s class, while the Colts have head coach Tony Dungy and wide receiver Marvin Harrison being inducted as well. It was a logical and easy choice for the game to be between the two franchises, and that’s what ended up happening.
Of course, it won’t be the most exciting of games. If the starters play at all it will only be for a series or two, and then the backups will take it from there. The Colts aren’t gameplanning for the contest, and the two teams will likely want to show even less than they normally would because they play again during the regular season. But hey, it’s football, and let’s face it: as a Colts fan, you’ll probably watch it. So here’s the information you need to know to get ready for the game:
