The Indianapolis Colts today made a practice squad move, signing outside linebacker Deiontrez Mount to their practice squad and cutting cornerback Tay Glover-Wright.
Mount was originally drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft out of Louisville, where he played in 45 games and recorded 82 tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, and 9.5 sacks. He made the 53-man roster for the Titans as a rookie and played in the first four games of the 2015 season, recording a tackle, an interception, a pass defensed, and a special teams tackle. He was then placed on season-ending injured reserve, however, and after participating with the team in the offseason and training camp for the Titans this year he was waived on August 28.
Glover-Wright was signed to the team’s practice squad last week after participating in the offseason program, training camp, and preseason with the Colts this year. Last year, he spent time on Indy’s practice squad and active roster. Though Glover-Wright saw a lot of playing time this preseason, the practice squad is filled with defensive backs - with corners Frankie Williams and Christopher Milton and safety Lee Hightower all having spots as well.
