The Indianapolis Colts have wrapped up the first round of general manager interviews, as this morning they announced that they have completed interviews with Eliot Wolf and Jimmy Raye III.
That means the Colts have now interviewed all six candidates for the position: Chris Ballard, George Paton, Trent Kirchner, Scott Fitterer, Eliot Wolf, and Jimmy Raye III. It’s unclear what their next step will be, but most likely it will be a second round of interviews with a more narrow pool of candidates. With only six in the first place, however, it’s possible that Jim Irsay won’t need a second round of interviews with the candidates, though it’s the most likely course of action.
Eliot Wolf is the director of football operations for the Green Bay Packers and is a young, well-respected guy around the NFL, while Jimmy Raye III, the VP of football operations for the Colts, is also a well-respected personnel guy.
We’ll have to wait and see what the Colts’ next steps are, but they’ve wrapped up the first round of interviews with candidates. We’ll keep you posted on any second interviews that may still happen.
