Another Indianapolis Colts player can be added to the trade rumor mill. This time it’s veteran running back Frank Gore. Stephen Holder of the Indy Star is reporting that “at least two teams have shown interest” in the 34 year-old back.
In a recent interview general manager Chris Ballard made the following comments on the upcoming trade deadline:
“Look, every year there’s rumors, and that’s what it ends up being most of the time, is just pure rumors. You know, we’re not going to say ‘No’ to about anything, and we’ll listen, but that doesn’t mean we’ll make a move. We’ll see here in the next couple of days, you know — tomorrow’s the deadline at 4 p.m.; we’ll see how it plays out for us. But somebody would really have to do something to pry one of our players away right now.”
Ballard’s comments appear to support a report that four teams have contacted the Colts for receiver T.Y. Hilton, but the asking price was too high.
At least four teams have called the #Colts since they leaked T.Y. Hilton was available.

Asking price "too high" per source.
Fans can only expect management to have a similar mindset for Gore, who is the team’s leading rusher with 404 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns. Some believe that the Colts could do him a service by trading him to a contender, as he is in the twilight of his career without much playoff experience.
A potential suitor to keep an eye on would be the Philadelphia Eagles, who boast a 7-1 record - and they nearly signed Gore in 2015 before he ultimately agreed to terms with the Colts.
I do not know if the #Colts are willing to deal him, but I believe there is at least some trade interest in Frank Gore.

It’s uncertain what the team will do before the deadline, but there is interest on the trade market for some of their players - which could be a crucial factor in building the team for the future.
The Colts will have to make a decision before Tuesday’s trade deadline at 4:00 pm Eastern time.
