Drew Brees or Matt Stafford?

I like Stafford better this week. I actually included him in the ‘Fire’ category and Brees in the ‘Flop’ category in my weekly Fantasy Fire or Flop series this week. In the last three weeks, Stafford has averaged 365.3 passing yards per game and has thrown 5 touchdowns. The Browns are also a good matchup for Stafford. Everything about Brees’ matchup looks tough — nasty Buffalo defense, cold Buffalo weather. Brees has also only thrown for 300 yards twice this year, and his top target, Michael Thomas, isn’t full strength.

Any fantasy hope for anyone on the Colts besides T.Y. Hilton/Jack Doyle/Marlon Mack? Chester Rogers showed flashes in the preseason; any chance we see some production from him in the second half of the season?

That’s about it. You can stream Jacoby Brissett at quarterback occasionally, and Frank Gore will give you a little something every week, but Hilton and Doyle are the only guys that should be owned in all fantasy formats. I do think we’ll see more of Rogers now that he’s healthy. Today, Kamar Aiken is out and Rogers will get those reps. Rogers was the Colts’ WR3 over Aiken when camp started, but a hamstring injury kept him out for several weeks. Let’s see if Rogers can take advantage.

Is Marlon Mack a good start this week in PPR?

In my Colts fantasy preview this week, I gave Mack a ‘C’, which means to start him if you need to. I do like that it’s PPR because he does catch passes, and his big-play ability means that he can make something happen at any time. My favorite Mack stat so far is that he has seven 20-yard plays and twelve 10-yard plays on just 62 touches this year. However, the Colts haven’t figured out how to use their running backs yet. He’s not a safe bet by any means, but he is certainly worthy of a spot if you need a guy.

Flex Question: JuJu Smith-Schuster, Kenyan Drake or Isaiah Crowell? 1-pt PPR.

I love JuJu this week. The Colts are the 26th-ranked fantasy defense against wide receivers, and the Steelers passing game has owned the Colts the last several years. JuJu has only “officially” been Pittsburgh’s WR2 for one game and he put up 193 yards and a TD.
