Starting center Ryan Kelly (concussion), starting cornerback Rashaan Melvin (hand), defensive lineman Hassan Ridgeway (shoulder) and tight end Darrell Daniels (hamstring) all missed practice yesterday as well.
Kelly and Melvin have essentially already been ruled out for this Sunday’s road matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Ridgeway and Daniels are probably going to be out as well if they’re still not practicing. Frank Gore gets a rest day every week; no concern there.
Donte Moncrief (groin) was added to the injury report today as a limited participant. We’ll have to keep an eye on that tomorrow. If he’s a full participant on Friday, he could be considered probable (even though that designation doesn’t exist anymore), or they may not give him an injury designation at all for Sunday. If he’s limited, he could be questionable. If he doesn’t practice, he may lean more on the doubtful side.
Rookie offensive guard Kyle Kalis (knee) was a full participant on Wednesday as well. Although he should be returning to the playing field this weekend, he will not be back in the starting lineup.
