2017 Colts Final Injury Report: Johnathan Hankins and Denzelle Good out, Pagano next?

NFL: Indianapolis Colts at Houston Texans Shanna Lockwood-USA TODAY Sports

If you’re just joining us for the Colts 2017 season, you’ll be pleased that we’re heading into the final week of the season and there are only 5 total players on the injury report. Of those players only three have been ruled out for their matchup with the Houston Texans this Sunday.

If you’re not just joining the Colts for 2017, you realize that if you added the injured reserve to this list it would be depressing. If there is any positive to this list it is that Denzelle Good and Johnathan Hankins are both players who could start in 2018 and they will not be at risk of suffering any further lingering injury in a game that will only determine which of the Texans and Colts will finish last in the AFC South.

Joining them on the sideline will be Jason Vander Laan, a backup tight end and special teams contributor. Wide receiver Donte Moncrief is questionable for the game and is likely holding on to get back onto the field and make a final impression on the Colts or another franchise as he will be a free agent in the coming season.

Let’s face it, all we can hope for is an injury free game between these two teams. 60 minutes and the 2017 nightmarish NFL season will come to a close for Colts fans. All eyes will then turn to Chris Ballard and what move he chooses to make and when he chooses to make it as Indianapolis will likely be turning the last page in the Pagano chapter in franchise history.
