What else is there to say about the Indianapolis Colts’ inability to play quality football for four quarters? Correct, not much. However, there’s plenty we can say about how Jacoby Brissett has gotten under my skin like a bad case of ringworm.
We certainly saw some good points in this blowout loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, the problem is that there just wasn’t much — and the good seems to be very subjective and largely unimportant considering the current circumstances. This wasn’t a game where you could say T.Y. Hilton was good with only 3 catches and disappearing for long stretches of the game, but he did have a touchdown, right!?
We saw a flash from rookie Tarell Basham in getting his second sack of the season, but the Colts only actually touched Bortles once in this ugly battle that resulted in the Colts holding down the fourth spot in the division and this doesn’t look to be changing anytime soon. Frank Gore was excellent, Marlon Mack showed a spark as well and the Colts were still pretty solid against the run, but we as fans are now relegated to raising up average overall play as our minds move forward to the offseason to wait for what will be of the likely coaching change, the draft and free agent signing period.
This is getting hard to stomach regardless of if your glass is half-full or half-empty. Either way, we have found some good to go along with the bad from the Colts Week 13 loss in Jacksonville.
