Donte Moncrief was spotted in a walking boot today according to Charlie Clifford of Wish TV.
Moncrief saw the most targets come his way (8) since week two against the Arizona Cardinals and managed to pull down 5 catches. He has seen a significant drop in production this season, some of which can be attributed to the struggles of the offensive line and Jacoby Brissett. However, in a contract year, Moncrief really needed to do something to make himself stand out as more than just a rotational receiver, and he has not done that.
Last season despite only playing in 9 games, he was able to pull down 7 touchdowns. He has had no such production this season.
Whether or not this injury impacts his play for the team, it certainly is likely to hamper his ability to finish the season strong and make a case for the Colts or any other team who might be interested to give him a shot next year.
