Welcome to day two of the NFL Draft!
The second and third rounds will take place tonight, with the draft beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET tonight. You can once again watch the draft on NFL Network and ESPN.
The Colts tonight will have two picks, the 46th overall and 80th overall picks. So if you’re wondering, that means that the Colts will be the 14th pick in the second round. Teams will get seven minutes per pick in round two and five minutes per pick in round three.
One fun note is that some very notable former Colts will be announcing the team’s picks tonight. Robert Mathis will announce the team’s second round pick, while Joe Reitz will announce their third round pick.
Last night the Colts selected Ohio State safety Malik Hooker with their first round pick, and it’s very possible that the Colts could continue to add to their defense tonight. There are plenty of good players left, particularly at some of the Colts’ areas of need like EDGE, cornerback, and running back. Here’s a look at some of the best remaining players who could be options for the Colts at those positions.
It should be another very interesting night of the draft as the Colts look to continue a draft class that is off to a very good start with the addition of Hooker. It’s likely that more defensive help will be on the way tonight, though we shouldn’t rule out another position, such as offensive line and/or running back.
What do you think the Colts should do tonight? Consider this your open thread to discuss what goes on as we lead up to the Colts’ picks.
