To start the week, on the Locked on Colts podcast, I spoke to Kevin Bowen (@KBowenColts) from Colts.com to gauge his point of view on a variety of topics. Just as most of the conversation has been this offseason, we talked about some of the top defensive roster battles we expect to engulf training camp, and other defensive storylines from the offseason training sessions.

We talked Tarell Basham’s primary position, discussed whether or not Johnathan Hankins will start at the nose tackle position, how competitive the defensive line will be as well as the intrigue that surrounds the secondary.

On the other side of the ball we touched on offensive roster construction, where you skimp on the roster to bolster other needed areas including how the running backs and tight ends could keep more than the other. The receivers were an interesting topic, as Kevin has a compelling argument for the cut down at the end of the preseason and much, much more.
