Colts Center Ryan Kelly Leaves Practice With Unknown Injury

Indianapolis Colts center Ryan Kelly left practice with an unknown injury during the team’s joint practice with the Detroit Lions. According to Mike Chappell, Kelly came up limping during the course of a drill and then went off the field. Pagano was asked about his status and said he would wait for word on the injury from the medical staff. Later, Kelly was seen on crutches.

If serious, this would be a tough loss for the young offensive line as it attempts to get some continuity going into the season. Kelly was a bright spot last season, starting all 16 games and performing well at the spot. With backup Brian Schwenke also out on the PUP list, the Colts are pretty thin at center.

Any significant time missed by Kelly would likely mean trouble for the offensive line. Deyshawn Bond reportedly took first team reps after Kelly left the field. Any updates will be added when they become available.
