The Indianapolis Colts and the rest of the NFL now have the preseason in the books. Roster cuts from 90 players down to 53 are squarely in front of us. That means that nearly 1,200 players are about to become free agents.
The fourth and final preseason game seals the fate for usually just a few players on each team. Playing time in said game can also be a big indicator as to a team’s plan for a player. With that in mind, let’s see which Colts players played how long in Thursday night’s preseason finale with the Cincinnati Bengals.

NOTES:
- The Colts clearly wanted to get a good look at the offensive linemen that they started. Adam Redmond, who started at left tackle, went the entire distance. Le’Raven Clark also potentially took his last stand, going 30-plus reps at left tackle. It didn’t go great.
- Brian Schwenke is getting into game shape. After being activated from PUP in the last week, he, too, logged 34 snaps.
- The Colts gave JoJo Natson a chance to star in the show (44 total snaps). For the most part, he did, but he also fumbled three times.
- If you want to know what a big part of the final preseason game is all about, just look at the fact that, among players who were acquired since the Colts’ most recent preseason game (Daryl Richardson and De’Mard Llorens), they played a total of 29 snaps, or 54% of the offense’s total snaps. Sometimes, teams just need bodies to get them through the final game.
- Overall, 26 players saw offensive snaps.

- David Parry and Sean Spence are two somewhat prominent names on the bubble and who are fighting for their roster spots. They averaged 37 snaps and played into the second half. That’s 51% of the total defensive snaps. Typically, when you play that long, it doesn’t always bode well.
- Newcomers Ronald Martin and Earl Wolff, who joined the Colts this week, played a total of 45 snaps, or 62% of the total defensive snaps.
- Overall, 25 players saw defensive snaps.
