The Indianapolis Colts have signed free agent wide receiver Cyril Grayson Jr. to the practice squad and released wide receiver Fred Brown from the practice squad.
Grayson (5-9, 183, 23) is a track athlete who has not played official organized football since high school back in 2011. However, he has been with the Seattle Seahawks all offseason and was on their practice squad to start the year. Colts Vice President of Player Personnel, Ed Dodds—then with the Seahawks—was intrigued by Grayson back in April. That is likely the explanation as to why the Colts have brought Grayson on board.
Grayson is an incredibly decorated track star from back at LSU. Overall, he is a four-time NCAA champion and seven-time All-American.
This is now the Colts’ 10-man practice squad:
- QB Phillip Walker
- RB Matt Jones
- WR Krishawn Hogan
- WR Cyril Grayson Jr.
- TE Henry Krieger-Coble
- OT Andrew Wylie
- OT Tyreek Burwell
- NT Joey Mbu
- OLB Joshua Perry
- OLB Johnathan Calvin
