Pointed out by Twitter user @mcwardell, former Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano posted a “thank you” to Colts fans in today’s Sunday morning edition of The Indianapolis Star.

As a rookie head coach in 2012, Pagano missed Weeks 5-16 for leukemia treatment. He returned in Week 17 and coached the Colts in their wild card playoff loss.
Pagano’s condition sparked the #Chuckstrong campaign in Indianapolis in which an enormous amount of money has been donated toward cancer research since.
Pagano helped turn around the 2-14 Colts from 2011 to an 11-5 record with playoff appearances in each of the following three seasons. The Colts leveled out to a combined 20-28 record in the three seasons following that, which led to Pagano’s dismissal as head coach. He was fired on December 31.
