Stephen Holder is back with his second episode of Horseshoes with Holder. Today Stephen lays out some very interesting topics including how the injury bug has hit the Colts yet again heading into Week 6, news on some of the Colts’ young key players including Tyquan Lewis, Quincy Wilson as well as the second-year linebacker Anthony Walker.
Stephen touches on who has been back to practice and why that’s so significant, as well as who may be stepping into those starting roles this week if some VERY key starters aren’t available. Mike Mitchell is an interesting addition to the Colts being that he doesn’t quite fit the template of who Chris Ballard has typically been adding to the roster being that he’s into his 30s now. However, when the Colts’ safety position is the way it is, sometimes these situations arise.
You’ll hear updates and commentary on Clayton Geathers and whether his neck issues are tied to last year’s and what his chances are of playing Sunday. Stephen also gets into how important Matthias Farley’s availability will be to watch for Week 6.
What did Tyquan Lewis have to say recently that should perk some eyebrows, and how has his rehab process been going? What is the deal already with Quincy Wilson? Additionally, what does Matt Eberflus see in the near future, and what does he expect from the young talented cornerback day in and day out? Is there issues still there, or is he rising in the eyes of the coaching staff?
Another young Colts’ defender that is becoming really intriguing right now is Anthony Walker, but what is it about Walker that Holder is looking for and what has impressed him the most? He should be growing on everyone who’s watching closely.
Stephen also looks into the Colts-Jets matchup a bit, including what he’ll be watching for the most.
