In my estimation this was easily the most disappointing loss of the season. I know, I predicted a Jets win but I really wanted to be wrong. The Colts were outplayed in all three phases of the game today and that’s what’s so disappointing. In weeks past there was always some bright spot, Darius Leonard or Andrew Luck, the defense played hard and racked up a lot of sacks. Something. Anything. Today’s loss wasn’t like the ones before it. Even still, I’m going to be taking a look at this weeks impact plays
Each week, I have looked to break down two of the best or worst plays or situations from the previous game, but I have relied on the help of the Stampede Blue community to decide what plays should be given a closer look as I hope to explain what happened in greater detail than the broadcasters can. Often you’ll hear “how did that guy get so open?” and I hope to be able to answer that question for Colts fans this season.
This week my vote is going to go to Marlon Mack’s third quarter runs from shotgun. I want to take a look at how and why Mack was so successful and I want to see if the 2018 version of Mack is the every down back that so many thought he might turn into. Let me know what impact plays you want to see in the comments!
