The Indianapolis Colts have an interesting test today as they host the Jacksonville Jaguars at Lucas Oil Stadium and kick off their post-bye, heavy AFC South section of the season. Both teams sit at 3-5, and the Colts are getting Tyquan Lewis back from IR which should be fun to watch.
However, there are a few modest surprises on the Colts inactive list today as well.

Rookie Kemoko Turay was recently downgraded to ‘doubtful’ — as was Nate Hairston — and neither will not see the field today. Mike Mitchell has been a big boost in the secondary for the Colts since being signed, especially considering the health issues at safety as of late, but he’ll be in street clothes as well.
Also on the inactive list today is Hassan Ridgeway, Denzelle Good, Ryan Hewitt and Erik Swoope. These are not small losses, especially with Hewitt proving to be a real solid blocking option since being added to the roster.
The Colts desperately need a win to keep them in the playoff hunt, as do the Jaguars. While Blake Bortles hasn’t proven himself a major threat at the quarterback position, without a consistent pass rush from the Colts, he is likely to find open receivers in the soft zones left by the corners.
Despite these missing players, this will be one of the healthiest beginnings to a game the Colts have seen all season. Time to show what they can do with it.
