Colts Wednesday Injury Report: Eight DNPs, Good and Turay return

NFL: Indianapolis Colts at Philadelphia Eagles Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

The Indianapolis Colts have released their injury report for Wednesday as they prepare to host the Tennessee Titans:

Originally questionable for last week’s game before being downgraded to out against Jacksonville, tackle/guard Denzelle Good returned to practice this week in hopes to add his impact to an already booming offensive line. On the opposite side of the trenches, defensive end Kemoko Turay practiced today after sitting last Thursday and Friday with a neck injury. Cornerback Nate Hairston also participated today after being limited all last week with an ankle problem. Rookie guard Quenton Nelson was listed on the injury report for the first time this year with a back injury.

Several Colts missed Wednesday’s practice. On the offensive side of things, tight ends Ryan Hewitt (ankle) and Erik Swoope (knee) didn’t participate, while running back Marlon Mack missed for something not injury related. Defensively, three safeties — Clayton Geathers (knee), Malik Hooker (hip) and Mike Mitchell (calf) — all missed the field on Wednesday, while cornerback Chris Milton (not injury related) and linebacker Anthony Walker (neck) also missed.

It’s early in the week, but Hewitt, Mitchell and Swoope did miss all of last week with the same injuries.

Tackle/guard Joe Haeg, who was placed on the injured reserve with an ankle injury after the Colts’ Week 3 bout with the Philadelphia Eagles, was back on the field today. He now has a 21-day period to either be brought back to the active roster or placed back on the IR for the remainder of the year. Head coach Frank Reich said he hopes for Haeg to be available after their game in Week 12 against the Dolphins.
