Colts Cast: Colts earn massive comeback win, set themselves up for win-and-in Week 17 matchup

The Indianapolis Colts (9-6) worked their way back from a 14-0 deficit in Week 16 against the New York Giants into the largest win of the season. Their 28-27 comeback victory has set them up with a win-and-in situation against the Tennessee Titans in Week 17, and following a 1-5 start to the season, the Colts control their own destiny.

Today on the show we’ll briefly recap the highs and lows of the Colts win over the Giants. How T.Y. Hilton has continued to get involved, and have breakout games in spite of fighting through his ankle injury, what the significance of Ryan Kelly’s injury might be, and how Chester Rogers and Dontrelle Inman have become reliable NFL receivers because of Andrew Luck and this system.

We’ll also discuss the upcoming game in Tennessee in which the Colts hold all of the cards. Luck has never lost to the Titans, despite a couple of scares, and how there isn’t a team better suited to upset one of the more highly touted teams in the AFC in the Wild Card round of the playoffs.

The Colts have come a long way since their rough start to the season. They’ve tempted fate with a loss in Week 4 against the Texans, they’ve lost some games they should have won in the first half of the year, but here they are. They have the pieces to protect Luck, they have a rising defense, a play-caller who can absolutely rock opposing defenses and a few playmakers who can make all of the difference in a close game.
