With the fast and furious part of free agency long over with, most of us are getting NFL Draft fever right now. The Indianapolis Colts have traded back, they’ve talked about how they feel about the rebuilding process and all of the pieces are now in place to see who Chris Ballard can get in the first round.
Well we’ve caught the fever as well, so for today’s show we do a full first round mock draft to appease ourselves. Jake Arthur, Stephen Reed and Chris Shepherd join Matt Danely to give their representative teams the best first round haul possible and there are some interesting picks, and some surprises that come along as well.
Two pass rushers go in the top 10 picks, the linemen are flying off of the board in this initial mock and a couple top-10 players fall into the middle of the round.
We also discuss the latest in Colts news, such as Ballard stating that the team was in on some of the top free agents, but the prices for some of the ‘big name’ guys simply got to be too much for them. Also we discuss the 3-year process that owner Jim Irsay spoke of, and what fans should legitimately take from that.
Andrew Luck is throwing footballs, albeit small footballs, but the plan for him to be active within the Colts offseason program seems to be in good shape, and much more.
