Over the past several hours those NFL prospects who the Indianapolis Colts have interviewed — or plan to soon — is beginning to come to light. With the Colts having pressing needs at multiple positions, there’s no surprise that the vast majority of their formal interviews are following suit.
Most of them come as no surprise, but that doesn’t mean that they aren’t exciting for a fan base that has been anxiously awaiting some good news after the Colts have gone 20-28 over the past 3 seasons. The Colts are expecting Andrew Luck back for the 2018 campaign, but this offseason is equally about getting the supporting cast up to par in order for Chris Ballard and this staff to create a true contender for years to come.
Here is a current list of those which have had formal/informal interviews with the Colts according to what is being reported.
Wyatt Teller | OL | Virginia Tech — Combine Workout
Saquon Barkley | RB | Penn St. — Combine Workout
D.J. Moore | WR | Maryland — Combine Workout
Courtland Sutton | WR | Southern Methodist — Combine Workout
Malik Jefferson | LB | Texas — Combine Workout
Bradley Chubb | Edge | North Carolina St. — Combine Workout
Perhaps the most interesting set of on-field workouts will come tomorrow morning as the linebackers, defensive linemen and edge defenders will take the field. The front seven is expected to be a hard focus for the Colts this year, and without hearing much in the way of specific free agency talk to this point, this grouping provides the most intrigue.
The likes of Bradley Chubb, Rashaan Evans, Tremaine Edmunds, Roquan Smith and many more will be taking the field with a host of NFL teams paying very close attention to a grouping that will undoubtedly be heavily represented in the top-10 of the upcoming NFL Draft in April.
We’ll be sure to continue to keep you updated as the list continues to grow.
