On today’s Colts Cast Jake Arthur joins the show as we discuss the annual situation in the NFL Draft where some of the top talent — first round talent — inevitably lands in someone’s lap in the second round.
The possibilities for some of the players who could still be on the board when the Indianapolis Colts come back around for the fourth, and fifth picks in the second round are exciting to say the least.
A deep running back class, an edge rusher or two who could be bypassed along with some of the better offensive linemen and receivers could put the Colts in an enviable position at No’s 36 and 37 in the second round.
We are also continuing our interviews with NFL Draft prospects, and on today’s show we speak to Garrett Hughes, defensive lineman from New Mexico to dig into his thoughts on the pre-draft process.
Like some of those before him, we dive into what Garrett feels his strengths are, which teams are showing interest in his services, what he enjoys most about his position, what offensive scheme is most difficult to defend, what teams are seeing his role to be in the NFL and much more.
Hughes has 8.5 sacks in the pas two seasons at New Mexico and has some strong aspirations for himself at the next level.
