Indianapolis Colts cornerback Chris Milton has signed his exclusive rights free agent offer from the team.
Milton is now entering his third year with the team after signing with them as an undrafted free agent following the 2016 NFL Draft. He has started 1-of-20 games with the Colts, totaling 18 tackles and 2 pass breakups.
Milton is primarily a special teams player, and is a quality player in that role. However, he struggled when forced into action on defense last year. Most notably, Milton (5-11, 196) was matched up with Buffalo Bills wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin (6-5, 245) in the blizzard last year and came out on the losing end.
Milton was the last of four Colts ERFA’s to sign his offer from the team, which is a one-year contract. The other three were tight end Erik Swoope, long snapper Luke Rhodes and offensive lineman Jeremy Vujnovich.
