The Indianapolis Colts have announced the signing of 10 undrafted free agents following last weekend’s 2018 NFL Draft.

Arguably the two biggest signings in this group are wide receiver Steve Ishmael and linebacker Skai Moore. If you follow me on Twitter, I’m sure you’ve seen that Moore was one of my favorites in this draft.

Moore would be a WILL linebacker for the Colts, as he’s even a little undersized (6-2, 226) for a 4-3 defense. However, he is fast, can cover and is a tackling machine. William Ossai (6-1, 234) joins Moore in the linebacking corps after the Colts also drafted Darius Leonard, Matthew Adams and Zaire Franklin. Both Moore and Ossai fit the size profile for the Colts at WILL/MIKE.

Ishmael (6-2, 212) also joins a loaded group in the wide receivers. The Colts drafted Daurice Fountain and Deon Cain over the weekend and have a total of 13 receivers on the roster now after adding Ishmael. Ishmael was one of the most prolific receivers in Syracuse history, ranking second in receptions (219), fourth in receiving touchdowns (18) and tops in receiving yards (2,891).

Defensive lineman Tomasi Laulile (6-2, 285) was initially listed as a defensive end but seems likely to play tackle in the Colts’ system given his size.

Henre’ Toliver, Robert Jackson, Lashard Durr, George Odum and Chris Cooper were initially listed as defensive backs, but now Toliver, Jackson and Durr are listed as cornerbacks while Odum and Cooper are listed as safeties. Toliver, Jackson and Durr stand a good chance at mixing up the bottom of the Colts’ cornerback depth chart in training camp, as D.J. White and Chris Milton have been little more than special teams contributors in their time with the Colts.

Kicker Michael Badgley will get a golden opportunity to learn from the best in Adam Vinatieri. Vinatieri likely only has a season or two left, so if Badgley can stick to the practice squad then he may have a chance to succeed Vinatieri.

This morning to make room for draft picks and undrafted free agent signings, the Colts waived running back Matt Jones, wide receiver Justice Liggins, defensive end Arthur Miley, defensive/nose tackle Joey Mbu and linebackers Jermaine Grace and Darnell Sankey. They also waive-injured defensive tackle Johnathan Calvin.
