Colts Releasing Listenbee; What’s Next?

The Colts are releasing wide receiver Kolby Listenbee, but what other moves might be next?

UPDATE: The Colts announced that they signed undrafted free agent wide receiver Kayaune Ross, who participated in their rookie minicamp on a tryout basis, and waived-injured wide receiver Kolby Listenbee.

Ross (6-5, 223) is the type of big-bodied target the Colts have been looking for in the last couple offseasons. It appears he may be a bit raw, having only played two seasons (18 games) of major college football at Kentucky after playing at Phoenix College in Arizona from 2014-’15.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Indianapolis Colts are releasing wide receiver Kolby Listenbee.

The third-year receiver has spent time with the Buffalo Bills (2016), Miami Dolphins (2017) and Colts (2016-present) but has no active games or stats recorded yet in his career.

This isn’t a significant move by any stretch — the Colts have 12 other receivers still on the roster — but it’s what might be next that could be significant.

The Colts hosted free agent safeties Tre Boston and Kenny Vaccaro this week as well as cornerback Bashaud Breeland and running back Terrance West. There have also been whispers linking former Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant to the Colts.

Yesterday, ESPN’s Josina Anderson was very cryptic in regards to something that may be coming for the Colts.

This is Friday, which often means major news day in the NFL. You know we’ve got you covered for whatever might be coming down the pike.
