Indianapolis Colts defensive end Chris McCain is reportedly facing battery charges stemming from an incident in Los Angeles on January 7th, 2018.
TMZ reports that the the 26 year-old has been accused of spitting on a woman, and grabbing her by the neck.
McCain has since denied the reports by posting on his official Twitter account, the two tweets can be read below:

The former Los Angeles Charger had a career year last season, where he accounted for 5 sacks, and 19 tackles before signing a one year contract with the Colts this offseason.
However as of now his play on the field will take a potential backseat - if McCain is convicted, he faces up to six months in jail, plus any potential fines or probation.
