The Colts have brought in wide receiver Cobi Hamilton and waived running back Tion Green.

After struggling with various injuries to the receivers, the team needed to make some moves to solidify the group through the remainder of the preseason.

At 6’2” and 201lbs and 27 years old, Hamilton has been a journeyman backup spending time with the Bengals, Eagles, Steelers, Texans, and very briefly the Cardinals. He played in 11 games and started 8 for the Steelers in 2016 before landing with the Texans and playing in 3 games with 1 start. While he may be thin on starting experience, he does offer four playoff appearances on his resume and has compiled 51 yards and a touchdown in that time.

Tion Green was signed less than a week ago as a free agent who had spent time with the Lions in 2017 during his rookie campaign. It is a tough break for the young back, who did not even get the opportunity to take the field with the team and prove his worth, but it appears the Colts had seen all they needed to.
