The Indianapolis Colts announced yesterday that they had signed their first five players to the team’s practice squad. We’d seen reports that suggested they were much closer to completing the group, but had yet to have those moves officially announced.
We have also added four more players to the practice squad: https://t.co/AT0fDLn0LI pic.twitter.com/z7yuPFMvOZ

Today the Colts have nearly completed the practice squad with the official signings of Jihad Ward (DE), Ahmad Thomas (LB), Jamil Douglas (OL) and Carroll Phillips (DE) bringing the total to 9 players.
With Ryan Delaire and Lenzy Pipkins being the two most recent players to be waived, it would seem at least possible that one of them finds their way to the 10-man unit in the coming hours.
Ward is a former second-round pick by the Oakland Raiders, has played in 21 games (started 14) registering 32 total tackles since 2016, and has been with the Dallas Cowboys this preseason.
Update: Colts add RB Jeremy McNichols to the practice squad.
