This ranking by the NFL is an embarrassing example of how the league overvalues Super Bowl championships as it pertains to individual players and their impact on the game. I would argue that no single player has had a greater impact on NFL offenses and defenses than Peyton Manning since the start of his career. If he had 5 Super Bowl victories, the NFL would think so too. He doesn’t, so they pretend it isn’t still true.
