Colts Wednesday Injury Report for Week 9: 5 Colts DNP, Hilton and Nelson were limited

NFL: Indianapolis Colts at Los Angeles Chargers Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

As the Indianapolis Colts prepare for their Week 9 matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers, the team is coming off of one of their healthiest weeks in recent memory.

The roster, however, is still a work in progress as there were a couple names on the Week 8 inactive list that surprised most at least to some degree. Quincy Wilson and Deon Cain were healthy scratches while Marvell Tell III and Parris Campbell gave the team exactly zero production in their place.

During the game the team remained largely healthy, yet Grover Stewart came out of the game for a short time, and rookie safety Khari Willis sustained a foot injury during the game against the Broncos as well. Otherwise, some heavy rotations at the safety and defensive end positions hopefully kept some of the defense fresh heading into this week’s matchup with Pittsburgh.

With today’s injury report it appears as though there were a good number of bumps and bruises that came out of the Colts’ Week 8 game against the Broncos.

Denico Autry (neck), Pierre Desir (hamstring), Kenny Moore II (knee), Jabaal Sheard (foot), and Khari Willis (foot) were all non- participants in today’s practice, while Carl Davis (hamstring), T.Y. Hilton (calf), and Quenton Nelson (hip) were limited.

There was some good news in seeing that Tyquan Lewis was full-go today, and we hope to finally see him back after being out several weeks.

Frank Reich mentioned that the team had some guys banged up after the game Sunday, so let’s hope for some progression from a lot of these guys before the team heads to Heinz Field where the Colts have been historically bad in recent years.
