Jacoby Brissett Stat Tracker: Week 12

NFL: Indianapolis Colts at Houston Texans Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Weekly dashboard of QB stats. Thanks to the nflscrapR project and the NFL Next Gen Stats who are the timely sources of this data. Shout-out to Arrowhead Pride’s Ethan Douglas whose weekly advanced analytics articles inspired some of these reports (OK, I stole them). Commentary will be brief but feel free to let me know in the comments that stats aren’t everything.

HOW WELL?

Jacoby Brissett had moderate success in first down efficiency (9 firsts on 25 throws) but below average value (EPA/db) and waaaay below average yardage efficiency for the 2nd week in a row.

TO WHO?

I’m not seeing a lot of wide receiver output in that top graph.

HOW FAR?

Attempt length dropped slightly below league average but completed length almost fell off the charts. I mean 2.5 air yards per completion? Come on.

No passing TDs this week, so no change here.

HOW ACCURATE?

Completion rate exactly the same as expected rate.

HOW QUICK?

Still holding the ball a long time but only 1 sack.
