According to NFL Media’s Ian Rappoprt, the Colts have signed free agent receiver Dontrelle Inman today.
A reunion: The #Colts are re-signing WR Dontrelle Inman, source said. He played for them in 2018 and it makes sense given their injuries.— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) December 10, 2019
Inman, as fans will no doubt recall, was with the team last year, catching 28 balls for 304 yards and 3 TD’s. He isn’t a star, but he is a veteran receiver who can get open, and who has a knack for picking up important first downs. Although the season appears to be lost, adding Inman now provides coaches with an opportunity to see how QB Jacoby Brissett performs with a veteran wide receiver, as opposed to the younger guys he’s been working with since T.Y. Hilton was injured earlier this year.
