Colts-Panthers announce Week 16 inactives: Hooker active versus Panthers

NFL: Indianapolis Colts at Tampa Bay Buccaneers Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The Indianapolis Colts have officially been eliminated from playoff contention, but the season doesn’t end with that realization for the team. While most fans have somewhat checked out on this season, there’s still a lot to learn about the players on this roster.

While we knew that Quincy Wilson, Kenny Moore II, and Denico Autry would not be suiting up today, some good news comes with Malik Hooker being active today after being listed as questionable on Friday.

The Colts secondary is in rough shape right now, so having him available on the back end today may help against rookie QB Will Grier who will be making his first start today against the Colts.

Additionally, Jake Eldrenkamp and Chad Williams — both recent signings by the team — will not be suiting up today along with Le’Raven Clark, and Chad Kelly despite fan’s hopes of seeing what the third-stringer could do in place of Jacoby Brissett who’s been struggling this year.

Frank Reich has stated the Brissett will remain the team’s starter through the final games of the season, as they still feel there’s more to evaluate before heading into the offseason.

Meanwhile, here is the link to the Panthers’ inactives today.
