Colts Cast: Week 17 and 2019 wrap up; A look to the Colts future

The Indianapolis Colts dropped their season finale in Jacksonville similarly to how they’ve been playing since the midway point of the season. The Colts finished this disappointing season 2-7 down the stretch, and between injuries, poor quarterback play, an unbalanced group of skill position players, and dramatic issues with the special teams unit.

As the season has wrapped up and the Colts finish 7-9, Matt talks about several aspects of the team’s season today. First, we discuss the Week 17 game briefly, then move on to discussing the difference between the Colts and another team in similar circumstances that was able to get past the injuries and common issues the Colts could not and what it was that got them through those issues.

Some news recently hit the airwaves about Anthony Castonzo as well. Apparently he’s mulling the possibility of retiring as his contract is up with the team. Just as the offensive line has finally been rounded into shape, it could very well be falling apart all over again.

Additionally, we talk about the roster in general, and what holes have opened up this season that were thought to be non-issues heading into the season, or even throughout this troubled year. And finally, we have a conversation about what the team is facing this offseason, a few contract extensions that recently took place, as well as the future contracts the team signed following the official end of their season.
