The 2019 NFL Draft is just hours away from kicking off in Nashville as we speak. The Indianapolis Colts sit at No. 26 as their first round selection, and will have three Day 2 picks as well to find the meat of their draft haul this year.
Our own Zach Hicks has put together his top-200 big board of this pool of prospects, and today we’re going to dive into it to see what’s there for the Colts as they move through the early stages of the draft.
We get into top-tier prospects who could still be available at 26, which positions would be best suited for these early picks in the first two days, which positions we might avoid through three rounds and much more. We’ll cross reference the Stampede Blue draft guide for the sake of comparison as well where we begin to discuss the skill positions and their need within the Colts’ roster.
Zach and Matt look at those who may have missed the list, those who are considerably further down on Zach’s list than others around the draft community as well as where the sweet spot of this year’s class lies. Which positions are deep, which are top-heavy, thin, and those who may very well have some surprises come out of the class.
The conversation varies throughout today’s show, but there’s a lot of great back and forth in this one.
